Spring Trials

(11/20/13) -- With Ecke Ranch now at Fides, Selecta now part of Ball; Booman Floral no longer participating; Proven Winners in Santa Cruz and other reasons, Spring Trials 2014 will be in two regions north of Los Angeles, eliminating the southern locations. With the reduced travel time to southern California (gonna miss that LA and Orange County traffic!), more time can be spent visiting and learning about new introductions and marketing programs.
The Northern region remains primarily as in prior years, with the addition of Benary at their new facility in Watsonville and Proven Winners @ Chaminade Resort in Santa Cruz in 2013. In 2014, the Central region adds two new locations -- Windmill Nursery in Beullton with: Beekenkamp, Elsner-pac, Plug Connection, Skagit Gardens, Terra Nova Nurseries and Westhoff; and Ventura Botanical Gardens, featuring: Suntory Collection and EuroAmerican.
The reduction in travel to southern California should allow for two full days in each region, with perhaps a third day in one of the regions depending on preference and time schedule. A luxury will be to spend the entire six days, three in each region, absorbing and digesting all of the new introductions and industry changes.
